Privacy Policy
Last updated 27 April 2026
MusicMate lets you share songs with friends. Here's exactly what we do
with your data — in plain language.
What we get from Spotify when you log in
- Your Spotify ID, display name, email, and avatar.
- Your recently played, currently playing, and top tracks — so we can show them on your profile.
What we store
- The profile info above.
- Songs you share, the 144-character notes you write with them, and who you follow, like, or comment on.
- Your Spotify access and refresh tokens, encrypted at rest, so we can keep showing your listening activity without asking you to log in again.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't share it with anyone except Spotify (whose API we use on your behalf).
- We don't run analytics or advertising trackers.
Cookies
One HTTP-only cookie keeps you logged in. That's it.
Deleting your data
Contact the developer and we'll delete your account and everything tied to it.
Spotify
MusicMate is not affiliated with Spotify. Your Spotify account itself is
governed by Spotify's own privacy policy.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top.
